We currently have six partnerships, all very different. However, at the time
of writing there are nine people waiting for advocates! One of the highlights
of the year so far
has been the resettlement of two ladies from Hensol Hospital, after living
there for almost 40 years. An advocate has helped them to become part of the
community, including going to church together.
Ann Amos first became involved in Person to Person when her husband became an advocate for Tim, who lived in Hensol Hospital.
"I realized the importance of an independent voice for people with a learning difficulty, particularly when I found out Tim had been promised many times he would move out of the hospital without it ever happening."
