Bridgend

There are currently quite a few partnerships in the Bridgend area - from Porthcawl up to the valleys, and in Bridgend itself. However, there are still many people with learning difficulties who are isolated and vulnerable.

Meet the co-ordinators:

Peter Wakeford: Peter has been a Person to Person co-ordinator for a number of years. His experience tells him that having an 'advocate' can make a huge difference to someone's life. "They can become more confident in themselves, and take advantage of more opportunities in their lives."

Lawrence Davies: before becoming a co-ordinator, he was an advocate himself. "Despite not having much spare time, I was able to make a real difference to my partner's life. I got a lot out of being an advocate, and became a co-ordinator to share this with new advocates and partners."
